Adam Smith
I have worked at WHDCS since 2017. Once I started my job here, I knew I wanted childcare to be my career. I received my ECE diploma in 2021, Since then I have filled in twice for the program director position and it has greatly enhanced my knowledge of how our program runs.
I love my job and I can honestly say coming to work is something I look forward to. The children make me Laugh and I love helping them further their development.
I am also a farmer who enjoys his cows and the never-ending work on the farm. I also love playing
sports, I play on a hockey and baseball team. Being an ECE educator is a passion of mine. My mom put me on the path of childcare, and I am grateful that she did. I am now a part of an awesome team that has exceptional knowledge in the ECE world.
Emmily Strembesky
I have worked in childcare for about 9 years now and have my Level 3 Early Childhood Development Certificate. My first ever job in the early learning field was actually the WHDCS OSC summer programs when I was in high school; having the opportunity to support this program now as one of the Directors feels like such a full circle moment. Since then I have had the opportunity to work in a number of reputable daycares across Edmonton and surrounding areas and I am so excited to share the knowledge and experiences i've gained.
In my spare time I love playing with my three crazy dogs , and spending time with loved ones.

Jody Struski
I have been working with children in one way or another for over 10 years now. I received my Level 3 in Early Learning and Childcare while working in the daycare setting, and accepted a job at WHDCS in 2021 working with the Kinder and OSC team to reimagine the two classrooms within WHPS. I honestly cannot imagine a life without working with families and their children, and when I returned from my maternity leave in 2024, I was very excited to be offered a role in the team of Program Directors. When not with my work family, you will find me chilling at the lake with my enormous extended family and friends, or relaxing with my pup and kitties, daughter and husband.
