Funding Update as of April 1 ,2025

The Governments Childcare Branch has released a new funding approach , lowering parent fees to $15 per day, in hopes to facilitate a smooth transition to their goal of reaching $10 a day by 2026. The new funding approach introduces a flat monthly rate of $326.25 for full time enrolment and $230.00 for part time enrolment. These flat monthly rates are for families with children up to kindergarten age attending child care during regular school hours. Additionally, they have chosen to end the subsidy program for families with children up to kindergarten age attending during regular school hours. Children in grades 1-6 are still eligible for subsidy and will not be subject to the new funding agreements.
